HYMER ranks among the most innovative, most successful caravan and motorhome manufacturers in Europe today and is a company steeped in tradition.

Following production of the first caravan in the 30’s, series production of the Eriba-Touring range – which still enjoys popularity today – started up in 1958. The standing of the HYMER brand name and the fact that a HYMER (motorhome) is today a German standard epitomising motorhomes in general, like “Kleenex” for tissues or “Persil” for washing powder, has its roots in the Hymermobil and in the start of motorhome series production in 1972.

The status of the leading leisure vehicle manufacturer is founded not only on this long-standing tradition and expertise, but on HYMER’s constant aspiration be at the forefront heralding new developments. Besides focusing on an attractive design and a comfortable interior, HYMER concentrates particularly on fulfilling customers’ desire for top quality, innovative technology and optimal safety.

It is on the basis of this philosophy that in 1995 HYMER was the first manufacturer in the caravanning industry whose entire company was certified under the comprehensive quality management system DIN EN ISO 9001 - and still is today. HYMER was also the first manufacturer back in 1985 to offer a six-year ingression warranty on all HYMER models.

This warranty is based on the technologically trendsetting and patented HYMER-PUAL construction: closed cell PU foam is impervious to water, resistant to decay and guarantees optimal insulation values. The special HYMER bonding technology elastically bonds the entire superstructure, including the chassis. The significant reduction in noise thereby achieved enhances safety and comfort. HYMER was also the trail-blazer in introducing the double floor concept.

Safety is written with a capital S at HYMER: all HYMER motorhomes are equipped with ABS as standard and the majority have TCS. HYMER is also the only manufacturer allowed to install driver and passenger airbags as standard on integrated motorhomes with Mercedes-Benz chassis.

In addition to providing top-quality vehicles, HYMER is also engaged at many other levels in promoting the mobile leisure form and in securing ideal conditions for caravanning enthusiasts’ travels.

HYMER listens very closely to what active caravanners and motorhome users have to say. This enables HYMER to provide appropriate support – whether at the local dealer, in club events – Eriba clubs have existed since 1961 – or, as currently, at the “promobil-HYMER- Karawane” party annually attended by many hundreds of owners with their vehicles.
